She had always considered him attractive and from her short examination, it appeared that time had been good to him. What was he now? Twenty-eight? She was stunned as he closed the gap and easily pulled her up into his arms, almost dislodging the glass of lemonade. India felt Tobias snatch it from her, then he was exiting the room mumbling something beneath his breath. “You don’t still hate me?” he toyed as his dark eyes eagerly scanned her determined heart-shaped face, the rugged lips curling into a smile. India batted the emerald-green eyes at him, fighting off the desire to fall against him yet unable to respond to him. If only… “Welcome home, Indy,” he told her, and when she continued to remain silent he released her, placing his focus on the lemonade. She had felt the warmth of his sweet breath flowing across her jet-black hair as he had spoken to her, the thought of his closeness causing her to tremble. Dillon could feel her vibes. He couldn’t blame her for rejecting him. If only he could make her understand the saneness of it all, but if she didn’t understand by now - then she never would. There was five years of silence between them and he’d do well not to forget that. Whether she could eventually forgive him for sending her away, he didn’t know.
