She blushed as she realized he had been studying her sleeping form.

"I'm sorry," she eased out, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "It was rude of me to drift off like that-"

"I rather enjoyed the scenery," he drawled, glancing out at the sea, although she was left with the impression that his comments had nothing to do with the beautiful sea.

He rose into a sitting position, fashioning his legs Indian-style. "You needed the rest. Besides - you are on vacation," he reminded, his eyes still fastened onto the sea as the waves continued to travel inland, splashing against the golden beach.

Feeling a bit self-conscious, she rose and began brushing the loose sand from the back of her legs and then, she felt Miguel's hands on her attending to the chore himself. His touch was disturbing and it was difficult not to turn and fall into his arms. No doubt, he would have encouraged anything she might have offered him.
