Barbie and Ken Munster - what adorable scary gifts for the holiday for kids and grown-ups alike!

Most kids and adults love to be frightened as long as it's kept on a 'normal' level.

Sometimes things get a bit out of hand, and with modern technology, fake things can look very real.

So when purchasing that special scary holiday gift, exercise your good judgment.

And to inject a little 'calm into the scary' we've even got Barbie Munster dolls to choose from the toy mix!

Youngsters, especially small boys, like horror figures like vampires, werewolves, mummies, ghosts, and monsters.

You'd think that these types of toys would only be available during October in celebration of the Halloween festivities. However, scary creations are generally enjoyed year round.

In fact, one of the most beloved Christmas characters is the Abominable Snowman featured in Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

Don't you just love the part when he places the star on the tree?

Okay, now for the goodies! Here's a select few horror gifts that you can consider for this holiday season. Enjoy!

"Vampire Night" is a PlayStation2 thriller game.

Object of the game: shoot anything dead that moves and race to rescue citizens in harm's way.

There are tons of evildoers here and minions galore!

"Interview With the Vampire: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" by Elliot Goldenthal.

Enjoy sweet gothic twangs while visions of Cruise and Pitt dance in your head. A 'must' for any true vampire lover.

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer Board Game" will help pass away those long endless nights that we vampires sometimes face, especially during winter when 'game' is hard to come by.

Catch a Gothic Holiday Movie Before the Season Slips Away

It’s that holiday time of the year again and boy, have we got a huge selection of gothic holiday movies in the making!  (Not.)

More specifically, Vampire holiday movies that deliver a serious bite!  (Not.)  Don’t go to the theater alone….

Did you ever notice how Hollywood seems to skimp when it comes to Vampire holiday movies?

There’s plenty of the ‘spoiled kid turned good’ movies.  Teddy gets angry because his competitive ten-year old friend next door gets a new game system with 37 games and he doesn’t.

It’s ninety minutes of sulking, plotting, destroying, and then sobbing because "I’ve been a bad boy and now Santa hates me".  There’s even an abundance of ear-shattering musicals, a new horror that stands on its own.

Sometimes, we just have to take things into our own little hands.  Like this movie situation.  So, for your reading enjoyment, listed below are some lost opportunities for the film industry during this festive time of year.

These wonderful features should have been playing in your area.  Please do not check your local cinema guide because they will not be listed:

Rudolphfo the Red Fanged Reindeer

Scrooge Gets Vamped

Drac & Julia, a Cooking Extravaganza!

Plasma Tales, Plasma Tales, Plasma All the Way

It’s a Wonderful, Wonderful Death, So Let’s Break Zulu’s Bell

It’s a Wonderful, Wonderful Death Part 2, Breaking Clarence's Bell

White as a Vampire Christmas

The Vampire Who Stole Christmas

Christmas in This Old Castle

Some tips that may come in handy at the theater when viewing Vampire movies are:

Never go alone.

Don’t forget to wear your steel neck brace.  You never know what might get through that screen.

At the concession stand, choose the garlic-flavored popcorn (extra butter, of course).

Be stylish and sport a cape, preferably one with a red interior and a black exterior.

Attend the movie during daylight hours.

Though the ....pickings aren't very good for vampire holiday movies this year, take heart. There’s always next year.
