Then she continued, " For your information, I am still engaged to him. Don't think that I missed the way that you ogled over him when I entered the room earlier today - and just a few minutes ago when he congratulated you on your cooking skills."

" Dixon, please-"

" No - hear me out," she halted Kimber, holding up a well-manicured hand and cutting her off abruptly.   " You may think that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach but I am here to assure you that this engagement will lead to a marriage.   Simply put - back off, witch," and with that, she collected her tea glass and delivered a toast in Kimber's direction.   A half-toast.

Kimber didn't know what got into her but Dixon's hostile words ignited a fury that couldn't be contained.   " Engagements were made to be broken," she eased out in a confident tone, and she lifted her tea glass and toasted Dixon's white-as-a-sheet face.

To her horror, she had a hidden audience.   Dakota and his mother. Linda's laugher was the tell-tale and Dixon immediately took advantage of the situation, knowing that Kimber had been caught with cookies all over her face.

" Dakota!   I demand that she leave - now!" Dixon hurled out, her ample breasts seeming to also explode from the tight bodice of her flaming red dress that complimented her hair so well.

Dakota calmly took his seat, then eased out, " Enough dramatics for one evening.   Let's finish this good meal-"

" And what are you laughing at, Linda!   How dare you mock me - your future daughter in law?   You are nothing short of evil," Dixon went on to terrorize.
