"I told you - leave my wife alone," Travis interceded angrily. "You are right about my brother - he owns half the Junction. I’ll take you to him, but only if you leave my wife alone."

Miguel looked at Ralph for guidance. Ralph was sifting seriously over Travis’ taut face. Herpert, the impatient one, ran up into Travis’ face and blurted out in his thick accent, "How dare you order about the infamous Gonzolas brothers! For this, I will now cut out your tongue!"

Maggie almost collapsed when the Mexican pulled out the long, jagged knife. This wasn’t happening she told herself. And Travis seemed bent on fighting it out, his jaw lifted defiantly.
