The
Haunted Lighthouse by Sky Taylor
- Page 3
Dawn
swept her thoughtful gaze over Cooper
and managed a trembling smile as
she unwillingly acknowledged his
good looks; blond hair, well defined
muscles and a white, even smile
that stood out through the light
of the flickering flames of the
candles. No lights tonight for the
electricity had been cut.
"A
bit spooky in here," she managed,
her eyes dusting over his handsome
form a bit longer than necessary,
but she couldn't contain herself.
He was drop-dead gorgeous - she'd
give him that.
"Well,
it is a haunted lighthouse,"
he reminded, deciding to focus on
setting up the camera equipment
rather than the wide-eyed Dawn.
At the moment the look on her face
resembled an ocelot.
"Yes
- and I've already started the storyline,"
Dawn told him, summoning up bravery
but none seemed available. Instead,
her body was chilled to the bone
even though it wasn't that cold out.
Cooper
gazed up at her as he adjusted the
camera, peering at her out of the
top of his blue eyes. "Already
started the story, have you? I thought
this was a joint project, Dawn,"
he challenged, not wanting to be
undercut again.
Of
course, he wouldn't want her to
know that he'd started the story
too, and it lay safely lodged in
his leather binder resting on the
window seat - the story that they
would end up using, or else.
