The
Haunted Lighthouse by Sky Taylor
- Page 10
"Oh
that," he drawled, thrusting
his attention back onto setting
up the camera gear. The creepy atmosphere
was even beginning to get to him.
And he didn't want to go there -
didn't want Dawn to think he was
a wuss.
Recalling
his storyline, he began, "Lodged
with the caverns of the towering
lighthouse, there exists an inhuman
element that cries out to be satisfied.
A
seafaring captain, his one true
love, and the lost pearl necklace
create the living legend which tonight
stalks those who enter these stone
walls."
"Cooper
- that's fantastic!" Dawn blurted
out, snapping shut the compact,
Cooper blinking swiftly as the strange
light once again flashed behind
her. Only this time, he imagined
that he'd glimpsed arms reaching
out towards Dawn, the image disturbing
him.
"Come
over here," he suggested, Dawn
hesitating through the short distance.
Due to such, he coaxed, "Sit
by me while I set things up. I might
need a helping hand."
She
moved over beside him and as he
continued his work, she pressed
him, "Your storyline is eons
better than mine." So it was
a little white lie. Such a small
sacrifice.
