"I take it that Aaron isn't
upset about the car?"
"Actually, he'd never driven
it," Fayne admitted, a knot in her throat. "I'd volunteered to pick
it up and drive it back to the parsonage. It was a donation and Aaron had intended
to sell it in hopes of adding a wing to the church. He says that he is certain
the insurance will cover the loss."
"I see," Nick eased out,
beginning to see Aaron in a much different light. Odd how people tend to judge
others by appearance - just as he had Fayne. She wasn't an idiot driver, rather
a sweet and quite beautiful lady - one who believed in ghosts.
And as he watched her head off to
his bath, he had to admit that he was no longer sure that they didn't exist.
Fayne's miraculous survival through what could have been a fatal accident, the
eerie hood incident, the sudden storm - it was as if the ghost had been watching
over them.
And it was an incident that the
couple was still discussing six month's later after Aaron had pronounced them
husband and wife in the quaint little church with the new wing.....
