Under the Golden Moon by Sky Taylor

"Fayne, we made it back to
my place," he explained as fought the drugging effects of sleep. "I
suppose that you need to contact that clergy brother of yours before he sends
out his entire congregation to find you, eh?"
He watched her red lips curl into
a soft smile, deciding that the lady was quite beautiful. Suddenly a bit nervous,
he continued, "I can give you a lift to town in the jeep. Unlike the truck,
it's quite reliable."
"I'd rather stay with you tonight,"
she hinted, fanning her thick lashes at him. "But I suppose that I do need
to call Aaron."
It was shortly before midnight when
she made contact with Aaron, assuring him that she was fine. He'd been so upset
about the accident that his concern was with her rather than the expensive sports
car.
After she rang off, Nick suggested
that she make use of his shower as he handed her a fresh towel, wash cloth and
a bar of soap.
"I've got a clean robe hanging
on the back of the bath door if you'd like to change," he suggested. "And
we can pop your laundry into the washer while we enjoy a cup of coffee by the
fire."
"Sounds good," she told
him as she accepted the stack.
