Ghost
Under the Golden Moon by Sky Taylor

Nick smiled weakly at her, then
opened his mouth to shoot down her silly thoughts, but he stopped in mid-air
as he glanced at the truck. The hood was now latched tighter than a jug.
"What?" He put Fayne from
him, then rose to inspect the truck.
"I think he's nice - a nice,
nice ghoss!" she yelled out to Nick before laying down on the truck seat,
trying to catch a quick catnap.
When she awoke, she lay on a comfortable
sofa, a plaid blanket covering her. As she gathered her senses, she slowly rose
and saw Nick resting in an oversized leather chair that matched the sofa.
"Nick?" she eased out,
holding a hand to her throbbing head in the process. Too much wine. What had
she been thinking? And suddenly, she remembered her lips on Nick's as the ghost
had repaired the old truck through the distance. Funny, but she hadn't even
felt frightened. Such a nice ghost. And such a nice Nick, she decided as she
watched his manly form stir to life.
