Ghost
Under the Golden Moon by Sky Taylor

"This should make a good spot
for our make-do supper," he tossed over his shoulder, Fayne taking her
time to close the distance but the sudden howl of a coyote got her to moving.
"What was that!" she cried
out, careening into him and almost dislodging the bags from his hand.
"Just another type of ghost
that abounds in these woods," Nick teased, Fayne reaching out and delivering
a nudge to his ribcage.
"Stop that," she warned.
"I'm already frightened out of my wits."
Thirty minutes later, Nick had fanned
a stack of dead logs to life and they sat enjoying the cheese, crackers, bread,
grapes and wine - Fayne finally succumbing after nearly choking on a bite
of Muenster cheese.
He was a bit amused at her fondness
for wine as she'd finished off her first glass quite quickly for a tee-totaler
and was at the bottom of her second - although they were drinking from mugs
rather than glasses.
