"I couldn't agree with your more," Rebel echoed as he took a bite of the chicken. He caught Bianca stiffen and when she opened her mouth to protest, he crammed it full with a bite of chicken that he had intended for himself. Bianca was forced to chew the chicken. She had planned on biting off Gilda's head over her rash comment. It was okay if she wanted to wage a war with her, but Mitzi was another matter. And how dare Rebel take sides - over family at that!
When she looked at him with glowing eyes, he simply smiled and shook his head. Gilda also seemed quite pleased with his remarks and after giving Bianca a scowl, she walked ruler-straight from the room. Bianca tossed down the rooster-embossed napkin and wasted no time in attacking Rebel. "How dare you! Taking the side of that-that she-cat over family." "Tut tut, she'll come around," he assured, focusing on his delicious chicken rather than Bianca's tantrum. "She is quite a cook, isn't she?" "Yes, she cooked my goose very well," Bianca drawled, smiling viscously at him. Rebel flinched but decided not to pursue the matter. He preferred letting the two hell-cats work out their own problems. He had enough to deal with in trying to figure out Bianca. Although he hated admitting it, he was totally captivated by the woman. She was the wine; he was the victim. She'd end up hurting him again, but he couldn't seem to resist her. All nuts....
