He nodded and Gilda appeared, a silver cart in front of her. She looked like some vendor from the big city that Bianca had seen on her visit there with Rebel, and it was with great effort that she held a straight face. A plate was placed before her and Bianca was impressed by the contents. A chicken concoction that looked divine laced with fresh vegetables that Bianca didn't know existed. Everything looked and smelled delicious.
After one bite, she asked the stiff figure, "Gilda, did you cook the meal?" Gilda seemed offended as she formed a reply. "Yes, I did. What's wrong with it? Not good enough? Not fancy enough?" "On the contrary," she quickly amended, but Gilda's face did not respond. That same sour look was apparently her real face, Bianca had to assume in silence. "It's excellent." "Humph!" Gilda tossed out, still peeved. "Pretty words will not be getting me on your good side!" Then to Rebel, "She is a menace!.
