Cherokee cocked his head to one side before easing out, "Do you subscribe to The Gazette?" Arnie popped a hand across his knee, then blurted out, "That's where I've seen you! You made the front cover. Cherokee Phillips - why fancy meeting you," he told him, extending his hand and shaking Cherokee's right hand a bit too briskly for Cherokee's liking. "I'm a big admirer of yours, yes sir." Anne's mouth dropped wide open. Mr. Phillips? Heavens, no - this vulgar rogue couldn't be the same Mr. Phillips who had hired her! With great effort, Cherokee squeezed his hand out of Arnie's iron-grasp and as the man continued to rant and rave about the article, Annie's shocked-looking face blurring into view. "Annie? Something wrong?" Cherokee asked, cutting off Arnie in mid-sentence.
