Saddle Tramp - (47 pages)  Her smile instantly died as she spied the pair of red panties blowing in the summer breeze from the clothesline next to the house.

Worse yet, Vic had the audacity to join them and when she turned, his eyes were fixed upon her panties.

To hide her embarrassment, she tensed her lips and told him in a tight tone, "Cameo's."

Vic stifled a laugh, knowing full-well who the owner of those hot, red panties were.  Cameo couldn't fit into them if her life depended upon it.  Even so, he made a note to do his own laundry during his stay.  Wouldn't be good for the cowboys to see his undergear flying in the breeze.  click to continue

The Princess & the Cowboy, a short romance by Sky Taylor - Page 4

Summer wasn't a respectful time of year and if Austin hadn't been so far away, he would have preferred riding a horse over a train.  This housekeeper better darn well be worth the ride.  Probably a cranky old stick in the mud, he went on to muse in silence.

It had been a long ride, coming to collect Ms. Blake and he longed for a cool soak.  Hell, even a horse trough would do right now.  Well, at least the stop-over in San Antonio might offer opportunities. Then tomorrow, he and Ms. Blake would begin the long journey to his ranch, Triple Creek.

Cherokee darted back swiftly as the little man lunged towards him, a homemade fan in his hand.  At least, that's what he thought it was.

"For the heat," he told Cherokee.

When he didn't take it directly, the man said, "Well, take it sir.  I made it for you.  Out of the train pamphlet."

Anne giggled, trying not to but she couldn't help herself.

When Arnie darted his gaze to her, she softly eased out, "I don't think Cherokee is the homemade fan type, Arnie.  However, I'd love the fan if you don't mind?"

"Why no -  sure," Arnie told her, flashing a smile in her direction, Cherokee tensing as the idiot tried to move in on his prey. Little Arnie had been quite lucky that he hadn't pulled out his pistol and shot him out another pie hole when he'd frightened him with the god-awful fan he'd created.

Arnie suddenly glanced at Cherokee and said, "I'm going to meet my finance, Lucy.  We're to be married this Saturday."

The Concubine (25 pages)  Kade narrowed his eyes at her through the sunglasses as she attacked again, her mouth so sunburned that it looked like a blow fish.  One that wouldn't shut up.

"I-I can't believe you told them I was your-your concubine!  And-and your accent was horrendous.  I don't see how they managed to swallow your shallow act," she mused incredulously, trying desperately to cope with the lie that Kade had managed only moments ago to the three strangers.   Click to continue
