"I'll fix that," the gentleman sitting next to her said, then he began rummaging about, Cherokee screwing up his mouth and wishing the busy little man would just vanish. Ignoring him as best as he could, he introduced himself to the lady. "Name's Cherokee, ma'am. And you're?" "Annie," she managed, not feeling secure in sharing her name with the beast who looked more bandit than man. Her nickname would have to do.
