Photography - Tips & Nature Photos, Texas Magical Anole This little Texas anole has the ability to change colors - so for the patient nature photographer, there is much magic to delight in. When I first came across this little anole, he was a rather drab gray color and blended in perfectly with the rocks he was perched upon. He soon revolved to a bright green hue and from time to time would blow out the red area below his chin. Not wanting to spook him, I kept my distance. The photo below was shot from about 15 feet away - looking down into the rocky area.
