The golden sand felt smooth and warm to her bare feet, Karina dancing like a child through the sunrise on the private beach at the manor.

The scenery was magnificent and she decided that this could quickly become a habit - rising with the sun.

Inhaling a gust of the salty sea breeze, she hoped that Bo appeared soon. He had suggested a morning swim together and she was looking forward to their alone time together in this small window of paradise.

Three weeks had passed since her arrival at the manor and she was seized with so many different emotions. Foremost in her thoughts was her growing love for Bo. She just couldn't imagine life without him, but she had an uneasy feeling that her time at the manor was limited.

Coty, the cranky old dear that he was, also played heavily in her thoughts. Through her experienced eyes, she was aware that he had been faking his level of progress. She had noticed him too many times working his injured arm and hand. On another occasion, she had went to his room unannounced and caught him standing, to which he quickly assumed his wheelchair. Why the charade? That was something that she planned to determine.
