Stuart laughed with amusement, the mischievous eyes dancing in the blade of sunlight filtering in from the bay window overlooking the beach.
" Obviously, you aren't an avid reader of the gossip columns," he told her, serious now. " We Donavan's are quite notorious," he went on to whisper with a smile.
" No. I don't find much time for that," she admitted in a soft tone. " My work keeps me fairly busy."
Stuart studied her for a moment then told her, " I'm Bo's father, although at times I feel more like a brother. He is thirty-two. I was only fifteen when he was born."
He paused, then pointed at her saying, " Oh no you don't! I can see that quick mind of yours tallying up my age."
Karina laughed as Stuart had been accurate in his perception.
" Too late. I've calculated forty-seven."
" Yes, dear. And awe - here is our good man, Wellington back with refreshments."
Wellington lowered the silver tray containing the two glasses of lemonade and the matching crystal pitcher.
