Karina's tummy churned and she decided that it was either due to hunger or grazed nerves. The Donavans were all basket cases!

It had been hours since she had eaten the falafel on the drive down, a type of pocket bread stuffed with a concoction of spicy veggies.

Wellington was in the library running a white gloved index finger over an oak bookcase located in one corner of the room when she discovered him.

Karina relaxed, feeling lucky that her sixth sense had led her to him. Maybe she should request a map of the manor, she silently mocked. She had never worked in a home that was so large before.

"Madam," he slowly acknowledged, the beady eyes falling behind her again.

"Wellington," she returned. "I was hoping that you would be so kind as to go over the Donavan daily schedule with me," she continued, her eyes sliding back and forth over the large walls filled from top to bottom with volumes of books. Paperbacks, hard-bound books, and leather-bound editions were among the treasures. She supposed it would take a lifetime of reading just to make a dent.
