And when she opened it, a blast of icy air hit her face, causing her to dart backwards a bit. But my, it was freezing outdoors. Father would do well to hurry, or face getting caught in the blizzard. Her eyes dusted over the scene before her, snow blowing furiously about her front lawn. Good thing that she hadn’t had time this year to put up the Christmas decorations. They wouldn’t have held amid the briskness of the storm. And when she would have shut the door, something caught her eye on the welcome mat; a furry circle - both white and red. “Oh goodness!” she yelled out in an excited tone, reaching down and scooping up the half-frozen dog. Chi-Chi - it had to be, she decided amid her tumbling thoughts. Once inside, Jordan wrapped the blanket that had been sitting on the end of the sofa around Chi-Chi, the dog stirring in the process. Poor thing…..she looked very thin, and she had a nasty cut on her hip. To Jordon’s experienced eyes, she would guess it was the compliments of barbed-wire.
