Heath’s attention was diverted away from his painful thoughts of his beloved dog Missy as he studied the couple in the distance.
Jack and Judith were sharing a conversation, Heath impaled by the woman’s beauty. Although she was exceptionally shy, he had to credit her for stringing his brother along for almost a year now.
And of course, beauty almost-always is accompanied with quirks. Nothing in life is perfect - and certainly not romance he silently pondered.
Outside of Judith’s shyness, she was a bonafide bawl bag. She had cried when she had arrived with her three boys standing in a perfect line beside her, two of the boys holding dollies and the other, sucking his thumb until it looked so red that it could have lit a Christmas tree. Then again, Jack’s three girls contained as much Tomboy as Judith’s boys did sissy.
Judith had cried when Jack had reassured her that he wouldn’t break her heart like the previous three bums had done. She had cried when he had told her that he would remain patient for her decision of marriage.
