"Very simple," she smiled, moving to the desk and hauling out a large leather book. Banner was right on her heels. She continued, "I found this just after I began; I suppose you were intending to use it to log in data which involved your cattle."

"A very accurate assumption," he eased out. "But to be totally honest, I had forgotten where I had put the thing."

"I'll order you another book for the cattle, but this belongs to me. This is my system. After gathering the basics, I began categorizing the paperwork. Of course, I will probably have to do a bit of re-labeling and reorganizing after I become more familiar with the Ranchero."
