Everything suddenly faded again and when she came to, a stranger was planted beside the bed examining her with a stethoscope. The doctor, she presumed, noting his white hair…hoping that indicated wisdom, and a face creased with a lifetime of wrinkles.

"Keep still," he ordered in a grumpy tone as he steadily worked.

Lovely. He was probably Cookie's long lost brother.
