Bill parked the unmarked company car on the embankment, then made his way towards the crumbling cottage in the distance. It was in such poor shape that he didn't even see why the bank wanted to pursue repossession.
Nonetheless, he had his orders - and he was preparing to pass them along to the owner of the property, a Ms. Mattie Anderson. Lucky Mattie, he silently mocked. It appeared that she would be having as miserable day as he.
When the repo man had called in ill today, Phil Drummer - the bank President had elected Bill for the task of serving Ms. Anderson the final default notice.
Bill knotted his mouth together in a tight ball as he continued to study the cottage in the short distance, deciding that the title of Vice President carried little-to-no weight at the bank.
For Phil, it was all about money. For Bill, it was all about people and assisting them in their time of need - protecting their investments.
