Saddle Tramp - (47 pages)  Her smile instantly died as she spied the pair of red panties blowing in the summer breeze from the clothesline next to the house.

Worse yet, Vic had the audacity to join them and when she turned, his eyes were fixed upon her panties.

To hide her embarrassment, she tensed her lips and told him in a tight tone, "Cameo's."

Vic stifled a laugh, knowing full-well who the owner of those hot, red panties were.  Cameo couldn't fit into them if her life depended upon it.  Even so, he made a note to do his own laundry during his stay.  Wouldn't be good for the cowboys to see his undergear flying in the breeze.  click to continue

Ghost Falls, a Short Love Story by Sky Taylor - Page 3

"Nope," he had echoed, then he'd tossed back the white head and delivered a deep chuckle, Grandmother joining him - two evil conspirators with Lisa held hostage.

Arriving at the campsite, erecting the tent and starting the blazing campfire were nothing more than faint shadows in Lisa's memory. She'd been too wrapped up in her anger to enjoy herself.

She hoped that when this handsome, nature-loving, stargazing grandson of Paul's arrived that he would be just as peeved as her about the blind date issue. Methodists her foot!

Her thoughts were ripped from her as a flickering light bayed out in the distance beyond, both Grandmother Rosa and Paul straightening as they, too saw the strange light.

"What the devil is that?" Paul drawled, Rosa moving next to him - practically into his lap, a habit that Lisa suspected was quite familiar where these two withered lovebirds were concerned. Grandmother had been spending an awful lot of time at the Oh Handsome One's house these days.

Lisa narrowed her blue eyes through the distance, barely making out the shape of a man holding a blinding flashlight. No doubt Joe, the straggling grandson.

"Maybe it's the lost woodsman," she eased out, hoping to scare the thin-dirties out of the manipulating couple. "Maybe he's coming for us - to drag us to the ghostly falls and-"

"Oh Lisa, please!" Grandmother Rosa yelled out, looking quite frightened as her face fanned against the flames of the campfire.

"It's okay, baby," Paul assured. "I'll protect ya," he told her, pushing her to one side and pulling out a revolver."

The Concubine (25 pages)  Kade narrowed his eyes at her through the sunglasses as she attacked again, her mouth so sunburned that it looked like a blow fish.  One that wouldn't shut up.

"I-I can't believe you told them I was your-your concubine!  And-and your accent was horrendous.  I don't see how they managed to swallow your shallow act," she mused incredulously, trying desperately to cope with the lie that Kade had managed only moments ago to the three strangers.   Click to continue
