A Free Love Story - Night of the Falcon a Sky Taylor romance - Chapter 1 - Page 3

The women peered curiously at the open markets and bazaars they passed along the way. When they came to the waterfront, Shannon noticed several dinghies and boats harbored about the beautiful area. The water was clear, like peering into a clear glass mirror, the color a vivid shade of blue.

The hotel was much more charming than Shannon had expected and their rooms were plush and immaculately clean. A bowl of fresh cut flowers had been set out as a welcoming gesture in the sitting area that separated the two bedrooms, the fragrance sweet and pungent. Katrina busied herself, studying the arrangement that seemed to hold every color of the rainbow while Shannon settled the twins into the two cribs that had been set up in her bedroom.

Instantly, they drifted off into a peaceful sleep, Shannon wishing they might have waited until she had given each of them a bath and bottle.

When she reentered the sitting room, Katrina was still absorbed with the flower arrangement. Sensing Shannon's presence, she half-turned and commented in a cheerful voice, "Have you noticed that everything seems so colorful in Australia? Why, I may never go back home!"
