She longed to ask a multitude of questions to Helen, but circumstances prohibited such. The words that Helen had shared confused her, for Shannon did not comprehend how Duel's divorce connected with Jon and Shaun. Why should the babies disturb him when he had no idea that they were his own?

She was still trying to recover as Helen pressed an envelope into her hands. Helen had been busy at the desk scrawling out something as Shannon had floundered with her thoughts.
