By the time Katrina had the bags in hand, both John and Shaun were screaming at the top of their little lungs, unable to remain as patient as Shannon and Katrina over the suffocating heat and the long wait.

"Sorry," Katrina tossed at Shannon along the way, her face beaded with tiny drops of perspiration. She was a large, stout woman, unaccustomed to such excitement. "It's a regular madhouse!" she continued to complain in a joking manner, her tone light.

Shannon sent her a sympathetic smile as the exited into the hot sun, the twins still crying. The air was heavy and full of moisture, increasing the heat of the sun. At least there was a breeze - a hot, moist one, but it felt more bearable than inside the airport.

Within minutes, Katrina secured a taxi, giving the driver the name of the hotel that Shannon had booked for them.
