She watched him snatch up a soiled towel and he took care this time in pouring out his cup. The coffee resembled thick ink and she wrinkled her nose when he lifted the cup to her.

"Look, Princess," he mocked tightly. "This isn't a game and you're not calling the shots. I'm in charge here and nobody ever questions me, understand? You aren't dashing off anywhere and I'll tell you here and now, you just try and make your run for it and you'll see what happens!"
