Saddle Tramp - (47 pages) Her smile instantly died as she spied the pair of red panties blowing in the summer breeze from the clothesline next to the house. Worse yet, Vic had the audacity to join them and when she turned, his eyes were fixed upon her panties. To hide her embarrassment, she tensed her lips and told him in a tight tone, "Cameo's." Vic stifled a laugh, knowing full-well who the owner of those hot, red panties were. Cameo couldn't fit into them if her life depended upon it. Even so, he made a note to do his own laundry during his stay. Wouldn't be good for the cowboys to see his undergear flying in the breeze. click to continue Pirates Bay - (30 pages) Hope on board for this seafaring adventure! click to continue The Nanny - (47 pages) A short love story with a twist. click to continue The Chimney Sweeper - {13 pages) Accident-prone Heather gets more than she bargained for during a visit to her grandfather's country home.click to continue |
Catamaran, a short love story by Sky Taylor - Page 3 Cassy abruptly withdrew her hand from her mouth. Although refined and one of little words, Amanda had crossed the line. It was one thing to utter such ramblings to Butler Al, yet quite another in front of Andrew. For five long years she had done everything in her powers to gain his favor and Amanda had shot everything to hell in the space of thirty seconds! Removing the cotton vest embroidered with the pet store's name, Cassy placed it onto the counter with a trembling hand and in a voice that matched the motion of her hands, she informed Butler Al, "Amanda and her boyfriend had too much to drink for lunch - then carried the party here while I went on my lunch break. I returned to-to...this," she said, pointing to Peter. Then to a rather shocked-looking Amanda, "Needless to say, I quit." Andrew was locked in a daze as Cassy sped around the corner and past him, Butler Al calling out to her, "Wait up, Cassy!" Then to Amanda, "You do realize that this incident means the end to your business? Most of your clientele stem from Lady Jane's friends. Once word gets out-" "Frankly, I don't care," Amanda shot back in an arrogant tone, reaching up to straighten her hair which looked about as disheveled as Al's at this point. To his lifted brows, she delivered an acid smile and informed, "The shop will be closing, regardless - the basis for my celebratory lunch. My boyfriend and I will be opening a restaurant in the near future-" "Then it best be a non-local establishment, or I can guarantee it's quick demise!" Butler Al shot back. Then, "Come, Peter. Let's go home to mama." Andrew heard a bell tingling in the back of his mind, his thoughts still trying to find a place to roost. His eyes suddenly locked with Amanda's. His first words should have been something to the effect of, "Is Vic ready?" or "You must be insane, lady" but instead he asked, "Cassy is forty?"
The Concubine (25 pages) Kade narrowed his eyes at her through the sunglasses as she attacked again, her mouth so sunburned that it looked like a blow fish. One that wouldn't shut up. "I-I can't believe you told them I was your-your concubine! And-and your accent was horrendous. I don't see how they managed to swallow your shallow act," she mused incredulously, trying desperately to cope with the lie that Kade had managed only moments ago to the three strangers.
