Saddle Tramp - (47 pages) Her smile instantly died as she spied the pair of red panties blowing in the summer breeze from the clothesline next to the house. Worse yet, Vic had the audacity to join them and when she turned, his eyes were fixed upon her panties. To hide her embarrassment, she tensed her lips and told him in a tight tone, "Cameo's." Vic stifled a laugh, knowing full-well who the owner of those hot, red panties were. Cameo couldn't fit into them if her life depended upon it. Even so, he made a note to do his own laundry during his stay. Wouldn't be good for the cowboys to see his undergear flying in the breeze. click to continue Pirates Bay - (30 pages) Hope on board for this seafaring adventure! click to continue The Nanny - (47 pages) A short love story with a twist. click to continue The Chimney Sweeper - {13 pages) Accident-prone Heather gets more than she bargained for during a visit to her grandfather's country home.click to continue |
Catamaran, a short love story by Sky Taylor - Page 2 Then he and Vic would share a fireside dinner, perhaps a brisk walk afterwards if the weather held. Unfortunately, Vic spent most of the walk tucked inside his coat, but he did enjoy those nightly walkabouts, particularly when Lady Jane's Ragdoll cat was perched by her iron entrance gates. Kitty enjoyed perching on top of the stone lions, perhaps visually conveying her claim of superiority. Vic always enjoyed delivering a few vicious-sounding barks to Kitty, then strutting by afterwards without so much as a glance upwards, as if he had conquered the invisible enemy. He was such as smuck. Fact was, the two of them got along like peas in a pod on those selective occasions when Kitty had decided to pounce to the ground and say 'hi'. As Andrew opened the pet shop door, the tiny bell announced his arrival, his smile met by an unpleasant scene. The rather docile Butler Al was yelling at the top of his lungs at Amanda, the owner of the shop. Cassy stood to one side, biting her nails. Then his eyes fell onto the ancient Peter the Poodle. Good grief! He looked like hell - botched and bald. Definitely not Cassy's style. His blue eyes traveled to disheveled Butler Al who stated such to Amanda. The man had grown so passionate amid the argument that he was slinging his head, his hair flayed all about him, announcing his rage. "Look! There is nothing that you can say to make me believe Cassy performed this...this....botch job. For the last time, who did this to Peter?" Butler Al demanded, Andrew certain that his usually-colored gray eyes were revolving to a shade of red. Amanda straightened, then in a biting tone insisted, "Yes she did. Totally inept and unacceptable." She twisted her head to view Cassy and continued, "It's not every day that a woman turns forty, so I'm willing to give her a little lead-way. A spinster at that."
The Concubine (25 pages) Kade narrowed his eyes at her through the sunglasses as she attacked again, her mouth so sunburned that it looked like a blow fish. One that wouldn't shut up. "I-I can't believe you told them I was your-your concubine! And-and your accent was horrendous. I don't see how they managed to swallow your shallow act," she mused incredulously, trying desperately to cope with the lie that Kade had managed only moments ago to the three strangers.
