Saddle Tramp - (47

Her smile instantly died as she spied the pair of red panties blowing in the summer
breeze from the clothesline next to the house. Worse yet, Vic had the audacity to join them and when she turned, his eyes were fixed upon her panties. To hide her embarrassment, she tensed her lips and told him in a tight tone, " Cameo's." Vic stifled a laugh, knowing full-well who the owner of those hot, red panties were. Cameo couldn't fit into them if her life depended upon it. Even so, he made a note to do his own laundry during his stay. Wouldn't be good for the cowboys to see his undergear flying in the breeze. click to continue The Nanny - (47 pages) A short love story with a twist. click to continue The Chimney Sweeper - {13 pages) Accident-prone Heather gets more than she bargained for during a visit to her grandfather's country home.click to continue |
Big Gun, Little Shooter, A Quick Book Romance by Sky Taylor - Page 1 CHAPTER 1 Ace viewed the buzzards circling over the iron-erected entrance leading to the ranch, 'Double A Ranch' engraved in bold letters within the iron. How in the devil had things gone so wrong so quickly? And he'd never wanted anything to work out like he did this ranching venture. Had it only been six months since he'd all but given up his law practice to pursue ranching? It had been a mistake to assume that the honorable profession was a piece of cake. Even so, he didn't miss the stack of divorce cases, civil law suits and domestic disputes that were perpetually piled on his oak-carved desk. And he'd heard his fill of lawyer jokes - enough to last a lifetime like, “What do a vampire and a lawyer have in common? They both will suck you dry.” His foreman Joe had driven him nuts with the joke and must have told it at least a thousand times. Moving his eyes away from the buzzards, his attention was tossed onto the black stallion Jedi - 'the' single mistake which had left a huge hole in his bank account. Not that he was hurting for funds, but if he were to make his attempt at ranching successful, he couldn't sink money into empty holes as he had in his un-savvy purchase involving Jedi. And the sooner the ranch was a success, the sooner that he could totally discard his practice. Working from the ranch was about as desirable as a cold in the summertime. He'd been snookered - his foreman Joe summing-up the mistake in one word. Bright, highly intelligent Ace Austin had been snookered. Jedi kicked his hind legs high into the air, emitting a burst of gas which caused both Ace and Joe to stumble back from the white-iron fence.
