“You mean, you were only nineteen when I went to work for you?”

“I was always an over-achiever. A child prodigy of sorts. Finished college when I was sixteen.”

“You didn’t?”

“I did.”

“Well then - that certainly explains things. You know everything about business, but nothing about real life.”

“Morey, we don’t have time for this. It’s growing dark swiftly,” Mitch reminded, trying to think of a way to re-harness Morey’s sanity. “Please, just forget this ever happened and drive around as I instructed-”

“No, you’ll have to drive around, Mitch,” Morey decided, reaching for the door handle of the rental limo. “Good luck - and by the way, I’ll be riding in the front seat.”

“What? What!”

“Remember? I quit. It’s over. I’ve entered the glorious golden years of retirement, old man,” Morey mocked, feeling extremely happy right now - as if a huge burden had been lifted. Much like a reformed Scrooge. Mitch was materializing as a money-grubbing snake and this time, Morey refused to get bitten. Enough was enough. He had set his foot down and that was that!

Mitch was still sputtering as Morey exited the limo and stationed himself in the passenger seat in front.

“This is totally ridiculous!” Mitch complained from the backseat, tossing up his arms, giving the oblivious old lady the evil eye. This was all her fault.
