Saddle Tramp - (47

Her smile instantly died as she spied the pair of red panties blowing in the summer
breeze from the clothesline next to the house. Worse yet, Vic had the audacity to join them and when she turned, his eyes were fixed upon her panties. To hide her embarrassment, she tensed her lips and told him in a tight tone, " Cameo's." Vic stifled a laugh, knowing full-well who the owner of those hot, red panties were. Cameo couldn't fit into them if her life depended upon it. Even so, he made a note to do his own laundry during his stay. Wouldn't be good for the cowboys to see his undergear flying in the breeze. click to continue The Nanny - (47 pages) A short love story with a twist. click to continue The Chimney Sweeper - {13 pages) Accident-prone Heather gets more than she bargained for during a visit to her grandfather's country home.click to continue |
The Apple & the Snake, A Quick Book Romance by Sky Taylor - Page 3 In the beginning, it had been entertaining - but not anymore. And Morey was beginning to get on his nerves as well. In fact, there was plenty of room to go around the old bat. All he needed to do was veer to the right and hug the hill. Mitch gazed at the old lady again; white hair, bronzed skin - a sign that she’d been spending far too much time under the torturous Texas sun. He despised it himself. Wouldn’t even think about going outdoors without smattering on sunscreen and sunshades. She was wearing a blue sundress and her equally ancient-looking cat was busy performing a side-winding dance through her legs. He could see the small blanket of fuzz collecting on the knee-high stockings she had on, the tops visible whenever she leaned over as she snapped her photos. He hated cats too. So allergic that he plumped up like a toad when he was around them. Otherwise, he might be tempted to go and confront her. “It’s going to be dark soon,” he pointed out to Morey who appeared to be deep in thought as he occupied his gaze with the old woman and cat, thinking that perhaps his assistant should go and confront her. “Yes. Looks like the lady is catching the sun setting over the hills. Quite beautiful, don‘t you agree?” Mitch grumbled from the backseat. And then he suggested, “Perhaps you should go and confront her? Ask her to be on her merry way? If not, we could be stuck on this road for hours to come. A mile driving on this narrow strip of dirt isn’t like a freeway mile.”
